Procurve Switch 5406Zl with MSM765zl WESM
Hi,
I have got Procurve 5406zl switch with the K.14.54, ROM K.12.20 firmware.
I have recently purchased MSM765zl module to get the WIFI configured.
I am not able to get the module to get registered with the switch, even after restarting the switch.
I get error msg when I enter wireless-services e ( where e is the slot ID )
wireless-services e
e: is not a Wireless Services module.
Can anyone help me on this ?
Regards
Rohith

Re: Procurve Switch 5406Zl with MSM765zl WESM
The 765zl isnt activated like old WESM modules, you use it like an ordinary service module.
"show service e" should give you some info and "service e 1" should put you in the boot rom of the service module.

Re: Procurve Switch 5406Zl with MSM765zl WESM
Hi Fredrik,
I did get what you meant.
But Fredrik, in the manual they have mentioned about Lan, Internet V-lans. Do you know why we should be using it ?
Could you please guide me on how to configure the module so that I could access the MSM via the web console.

Re: Procurve Switch 5406Zl with MSM765zl WESM
Hi,
The controller have two integrated ports; Internet and LAN, on the 765zl they are connected via 10GbE backplane ports. They'll show up in your switch as e1 and e2.
Have a look at this doc: http://bizsupport2.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c02728169/c02728169.pdf specially page 2-3 and onwards. It probably will get you started!
