hi computer is just a home build, scsi card came in a sale, dont know which Compaq PC it is from

it is marked Compaq but it is an Adaptec 29160

at boot up i get/got a Compaq message telling me the card name and what drives are connected

i have an Ultra 160 connected as my C drice, which seemed to me not to transfering at full speed, hence my desire to get int the card bios

i tried all the key presses that are usual and searched for others but found nothing

i have now solved the problem by flashing the card with the latest Adaptec bios

this gives a normal Adaptec boot up message and allows me into bios with ctrl + A

XP still tells me it is a Compaq card, but it now does all i want
