Hi guys!! am facing issue with SAN HP 2040S since today, we have long power cut once back to retore the VM in storage side im getting below error.
Controller A Degraded
Unhealthy Component
-------------------
Component ID: Enclosure 1, Controller A
Health: Fault
Health Reason: The controller is not operational.
Health Recommendation: - Restart the Storage Controller in this controller module, unless it is performing an operation where it is normal for it to be shut down, such as firmware update.
Even I restarted the controller A still the same.

Re: A subcomponent of this component is unhealthy
Hi Murali,
You may remove and reseat the controller A in its slot to check whether it comes up. The controller will probably require a replacement if it fails to come up even after reseating it. Execute the command show system from a putty SSH session to controller B IP address to confirm whether any components other than controller is in fault state. Note: MSA 2040 is an end of support life product. You might need to consider migrating to newer version storage.
