Adding additional disk to MSA 2040
While adding physical disk to MSA 2040. It gives error "A PHY was disabled."

The event related to PHY was disabled can be for empty slot or defective slot. You need to go through details of event ID 274 from below guide to get details and recommendations,

After the installation of new drive if the error goes away and you get event ID 275 then this is absolutely fine.
