Arreglos Raid

Raid Arrays
I have an MSA1060 with 8x 1.8TB 10k drives and 8x 1.2TB 10k drives each in a raid 5 array. Can I put a third array in raid 1 with 900TB 15K drives?
Is anything additional needed to create the third array in raid 1?

Re: Arreglos Raid
Hi Alex,
MSA 2060 supports 2 Pools - Pool A and Pool B
Disk groups under Pool A is owned controller A and disk groups under Pool B is owned by controller B.
You could create multiple disk groups under each Pool.
10k and 15k rpm SAS hard drives belong to standard tier.
If 8x 1.8TB 10k drives and 8x 1.2TB 10k drives belong to Pool A, I would advise creating disk group using 900TB 15k drives in Pool B for optimal performance.
If 8x 1.8TB 10k drives and 8x 1.2TB 10k drives belong to disk groups in Pool A and Pool B you could go ahead and create new disk group in either of the Pools. There no additional step needed to create new disk group.

Re: Arreglos Raid
@AlexGaab
Using disk-groups in the same tier with drastically different capacity and performance capabilities is not recommended.
