Backup MSA through fiber
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if this scenario is possible without file corruption on a virtual disk:
I have a MSA2312fc which presents a shared disk to one Windows 2008 server.
A daily backup of this data runs over the LAN to another online storage server. Now, because of the growing amount of data, the backup runs too long.
Is it possible to present the shared disk as read-only to the backup server, so I can run the backup through the fiber instead of the LAN, without the risk of data corruption on the volume ?
Thanks in advance!
Ronald
