Does the MSA 1060 have a default user name and password?
I just cannot find the default username and password for the MSA1060 in any of the documentation.
Does it have one?
Thanks

Re: Does the MSA 1060 have a default user name and password?
Dear @atomicluis ,
Let's look at this official advisory:
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=a00101086en_us
Is any of that password working?
Is it a newly delivered array?
Plus according to Management Guise page 10:
https://supporthpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=a00128580en_us
Configuring and provisioning a new storage system
When you connect to the system for the first time, a wizard in the SMU guides you through the first-time setup of your
system. This process is referred to as preboarding and onboarding. During preboarding you are led through steps to
prepare the system for use and are prompted to do the following:
- Create a username, password, and select a language (once complete, you will be logged into the system as this user)
Best regards,
Patryk

Re: Does the MSA 1060 have a default user name and password?
@atomicluis
Best document to look at is the one which is shipped with the unit: MSA 1060/2060/2062 QuickStart Instructions
https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/a00105318en_us
Press Enter to display the CLI.
To log in to the system for the first time, enter the user name setup and follow the onscreen directions to create a user account to manage the system.
The SETUP user has no password and will only allow creation of the first user. If connecting to the SMU for first time setup then the SMU will automatically login as the SETUP user and only allow you to create the first user.
@Patryk90 The first link you provided is for older generation MSAs and MSA 1050/2050 prior to VL270P003.

Re: Does the MSA 1060 have a default user name and password?
As mentioned above
Username and PW are set during initial setup.
If Username/Password is lost MSA has to be connected with provided cable and termnal Software (ex-. putty)
Username: restoredefaults
PW: Serial of MSA (Shown in the logion Window)
Restart onboarding with webbrowser and set new user / password or use putty to do it.
best regards.
