EVA 4100 switch expansion
Hello,
We have an single HP San Switch 4/8 with 4 ports enable. This is a single point of failure. We want to buy another San Switch to work together with the existing switch. What are the requisites for this new SAN switch? Can it be from a different vendor or can it be bigger (in port number) than the existing one?

Re: EVA 4100 switch expansion
If you stick with the Brocade style switch 4/16, 4/32 you will have no problems, just make sure you keep up with the frimware revsions.
HP haven't to my knowledge released Brocade 8G switches so I would stick to 4G product range
