Expansion of MSA 1050 with 2050
I have an existing HPE MSA 1050 SAN that is fully populated and has been in use for a good amout of time. The storage is now filling up and I need to expand/extend. I am told MSA 2050 is compatible so I have purchased one.
This will be my first time to do an extention configureation. Can someone please give me detailed information on how I would achieve this?
Please note, existing storage is hosting our prodcution infrastructure. I need directions on how to physically setup and confighrue the additional 2050 as expansion/extention enslosure.

Re: Expansion of MSA 1050 with 2050
Hi There,
An expansion disk module or JBOD is supported with both MSA 1050 and 2050.
Here are the details on expansion -

You may also check the best practices before expanding the array -

Good luck

@mbrownpng
I think that link was intending to go the MSA 2050 Best Practices Guide. Try this link: https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/a00015961enw
