FC HBA with ES45
I'm trying to install Tru64 5.1B on ES45 AlphaServer booting from Symmetrix devices interfaced through Fibre Channel.
I can successfully set up the boot device:
P00>>>show dev
dga370.1001.0.1.3 $1$DGA370 EMC SYMMETRIX 5670
dka0.0.0.8.0 DKA0 COMPAQ BF0368A4CA HPB5
dqa0.0.0.16.0 DQA0 HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC-4482 2.01
dva0.0.0.1000.0 DVA0
eia0.0.0.2004.2 EIA0 00-13-21-08-8D-C8
eib0.0.0.2005.2 EIB0 00-13-21-08-8D-C9
pga0.0.0.1.3 PGA0 WWN 1000-0000-c955-b025
pgb0.0.0.2.3 PGB0 WWN 1000-0000-c955-b070
pka0.7.0.8.0 PKA0 SCSI Bus ID 7
But when I try to boot using the CD and check for the Symmetrix disk, I do not see it
# hwmgr show scsi
SCSI DEVICE DEVICE DRIVER NUM DEVICE FIRST
HWID: DEVICEID HOSTNAME TYPE SUBTYPE OWNER PATH FILE VALID PATH
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
56: 0 disk none 0 1 dsk0
57: 1 cdrom none 2 1 cdrom0
The HBA is FCA2684 and the CD-ROM kit is 5.1B-2/PK4
Can anyone help me with this ?
Thank you
