Firmware update source to latest version - HP MSA 2040

Hi , How can I confirm we are on the latest version of firmware and are there any intermediate versions required for getting from where we are to the latest please ? 

Are there any suggestions on upgrades / not upgrading please or any gotchas for going between versions, or a sequence / order for doing controllers one at a time ? 
System: MSA 2040 SAN 
Disks: - 1 volume 16 Disks in Raid 6 
Current status: - Healthy with 1 x global spare available. 

Version: GL200R007

Try the MSA HealthCheck  https://www.hpe.com/storage/msahealthcheck
This will show you all the downlevel firmware on the system by using a set of system logs, instructions for getting the logs is on the healthcheck site as well.

You are quite a few versions down-rev.  The limitation is to update from the past 2 MAJOR versions.  The Smart Component for the latest version will halt you if the version you are updating from is more than that.

The firmware is only available via a support license, you can also log a support call at that time and get some help from the support team on update process.
