Firmwaredownload failed. (0x12) Cannot access package list (.plist) file.

I have tried everything, from allowing anonymous access to the FTP Server, creating diferent user with full access rights on FTP Server, diferent vitual directories, placing the full path on the web interface as well as on the command line of the Brocade Switch.

This is frustrating, can anyone please tell me how to upload the firmware on the Brocade 4Gb Full Fabric Switch? I have read and follow the read me; but, I am getting no where.

Thanks

I setup an IIS/ftp server with a directory for storing firmware and one to upload sw configurations.
create or use an IIS user with permissions granted to that, those dirs. I created a swuser acct w/pw to manage fw updates and configuration uploads.
when accessing this from the sw you need to be careful when entering the path to the ..plist? file when downloading the fw.
if you can ftp access the folder from another host you should be good.

When you unzip the firmware bundle, you will have a directory (sub-)tree starting with the firmware version, for example, "v5.3.0a".

Whatever FTP server(1) you have running on the system with the firmware tree, you want it to find the 'file' "v5.3.0a/release.plist". You do NOT give it an intervening SWBDxx directory name.

Great points Sheldon! If you don't do this the folder structure turns into a gottcha. your memories better :) than mine.
