how to access msa2324sa from bl460c g6 running 2008r2

I am looking for documentation on how to configure things so I can see the storage on an msa2324sa from a bl460cg6 running server 2008 r2.

I have 3 other blades running esx which can see the storage just fine.

I don't see a p700m controller in windows device manager, though I've installed the latest device drivers for it from the hp support site.

I need a conceptual overview of how the storage connects, and how it is presented and accessed from 2008 r2.

Thanks for any help.

Concept:
bl460c -> windows 2008 r2 -> p700m -> I suppose you need a SAS-switch in the back of the c-class -> MSA2324sa

Do you see the p700m controller in BIOS/POST?
Firmware upgrade might be required for it?

I do not see the p700m in post, but I can see it listed in the blade system onboard administrator.

It also shows it is mapped to the msa2324sa ports.

Maybe the mezzanine card is not seated/installed correctly?
I had a similar issue on a blade server (was an fc card that we could see the wwn for in os and oa but couldn't do anything with it).
