HP MSA SAN opinions ?
All,
I am planning to purchase either the HP MSA 2040 or 2050. I wanted to see if the community had any feedback about these devices.
I wanted a device that is better than Synology but more cost effective than Nimble / Tegile. Good / bad experiences with the device would be appreciated.
Thanks !!

Re: HP MSA SAN opinions ?
Hello @ogelnisan,
Hope you may find these technical quickspecs sheet useful:
MSA 2040 - https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/c04123144?jumpid=in_lit-psnow-red
MSA 2050 - https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/a00008276enw?jumpid=in_lit-psnow-red
You may also consider MSA 2060 which is a much simplified and advanced MSA model - https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/a00094629enw?jumpid=in_lit-psnow-red
I welcome if somebody can provide a comprehensive review.
Regards,
Srinivas Bhat

Re: HP MSA SAN opinions ?
The HPE MSA 2052 SAN Storage is a hybrid flash system designed for affordable application acceleration for small and remote office deployments. Don't let the low cost fool you it gives you the combination of simplicity, flexibility and advanced features you many not expect in an entry-priced array.

@ogelnisan
What was your plan for support? The MSA 2040 went End of Life in 2017 and is nearing end of support life.

I would recommend looking at the MSA 1060 or MSA 2060 products which are current.
