hpacucli and MSA60

Greetings,

I'm trying to retrieve the serial numbers of the two StorageWorks MSA60 enclosures that are attached to a HP Proliant DL580 G5. I type in the following command in the terminal:

ctrl all show config detail

It outputs the information for each device and associated hard drives however, it doesn't list the serial number of the MSA60s. Can this information be retrieved via command line? Or am I going to have to access the hardware physically? I looked all over the outside of the units but there are no serial numbers to be seen. Thanks for the assist.

Re: hpacucli and MSA60

Greetings!

Ideally the serial number should be mentioned on the chassis itself.

What is the OS running on the DL580 G5 server?

Please generate a diagnostic report, check in the .txt file if you are able to see chassis serial numbers. Try checking with the keyword "chassis"

hpacucli ctrl all diag file=/tmp/ADUReport.zip
