HPE SIPVC no performance stats for Volume
Hello everybody,
I tried the Storage Integration Pack for VMware for the first time with a brand new MSA2060. Set up was quite easy and the vCenter and Storage connection works so far.
One problem I have is that the vCenter Plugin does not show performance stats for the Volume on the MSA. It only shows performance stats of the System:
Does anyone know if this is a known problem or if there are any logfiles I can check for errors? The GUI shows everything as working.
Some software information:
- vCenter 7.0.3
- MSA2060 with one MSA-DP+ Volume (FW: IN210P001)
- SIPVC Version 12.1.0.219
It's not critical but I would appreciate it if someone has a hint what could cause this.
Best regards,
Alex

Re: HPE SIPVC no performance stats for Volume
Hi Alex,
I believe the volume statistics values are captured from MSA command line using the command show volume-statistics
I don't see read and write latency values as part of the output of this command.
The read and write latency is only reported at the system/host port level.
The latest version of MSA controller firmware supported by Storage Integration Pack for VMware is IN210R004 as per HPE SPOCK compatibility page.
Please note that I don't have the expertise with Storage Integration Pack for VMware and my suggestions are purely from MSA storage perspective.

Re: HPE SIPVC no performance stats for Volume
Hi Arun,
thanks for the information.
I just implemented the same setting at another customer and there I get at least IOPS and Bandwith stats for the Volume.
Well it is what it is for now. If anyone else has an idea what what could cause the missing stats, I'm still all ears

Re: HPE SIPVC no performance stats for Volume
HI,
You could try an MC restart using the below command and recheck after some time.
restart mc both
If issue still persists you may log a case with HPE support team.
