ISL Trunking License

My query is regarding the licensing of ISL trunking on a 4/32 switch.

If the switch fails and I need to replace it with a spare what is the procedure to transfer the licensing

across to the new switch ?

Hello, there is a specific website for this which was used for when a switch was replaced..

I don't remember the exact name or if it would apply to this case.

However, http://webware.hp.com is the main license web site. They have e-mail/phone contacts so you should be able to get the help from there.

this is the page that was used (it still seems to be active). https://www.switchkeyactivation.com/slkInternet/compaqfru  This is a back end into the Brocade license database, however it will only allow transfer of the licensed features to an OEM FRU switch mainboard, and you must return the faulty one. This prevents one license being used on multiple switches.
