MSA 1000 and Storageworks 4300

If you currently have 4354R, and migrate this to hang off an MSA 1000, is it possible to add a 4314R to have 3 shelves? I am thinking there is a way to convert the 4354R to a 4314R or terminate one of the channels on the shelf... any ideas?
