MSA 1040 - Simulate Controller failure

Hi all,

 

I have a MSA 1040 SAN with 1 volume of 6 To (RAID 5). This volume has been assigned to the controller A.

I was wondering what would happen if controller A failed ?

 

Does controller B take back the volume ? How can i simulate a controller failure ?

 

If i unplug the fiber channel connect to my Server HBA then it's not a controller failure... How can i simulate a controller failure ?

Use the GUI or Command Line to Restart Storage Controller A.

"restart sc a"

During the Reboot the LUN should fail over to B.
