MSA 1050/ SMTP server can not be set up for Office 365

Hi all,

i^m having the problem that the SMTP server for email notifications for MSA 1050 can not be set up for office 365. There is onlz option for IP address, which is not available after the migration to o365.

Does anybody know how to solve this?

May I know how you have configured in MSA1050 SMU? I hope you have followed SMU user guide. Try to provide as much details possible regarding configuration along with screenshots.

Also would like to know how you have configured office365 ? What guide you are following for this?

the problem is that by O365 there is no IP address of mail server. But in the same time such is needed to configure the notifications in SMU.

Microsoft Office 365 is a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution that includes Microsoft Office and other services, such as email and collaboration, from Microsoft's cloud server.

You should have your email server where it should have some IP address. Who is your email service provider ? Are you using Microsoft Exchange as email service?

From Google in general search I found the below details which you can ping from Windows Command Prompt and it will give you IP address,

Incoming mail server: outlook.office365.com

Outgoing mail server: smtp.office365.com

This works for today. But when this ip get shifted or this node gets resarted are we supposed to monitor office.com for ip changes... Why can we still not add a DNS entry to this interface this issue was posted 2 years ago.
