Re: MSA 2012i single controller
How are the initiator and the target connected?

Re: MSA 2012i single controller
Is there a direct network cable between the two? A dedicated LAN segment or are you connecting these two via main LAN?
Bottom line, you could try dedicating a port on a server to iSCSI and run a direct cable to the enclosure; see if the error recurs. If it doesn't, the problem is in the LAN.

Re: MSA 2012i single controller
At least it's not the network.
It's then the cable, the NICs, or the software (configuration) issue. Here are some resources:
- http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winservergen/thread/83dd19bc-86ab-4858-a572-92612561cab5/
- http://www.delltechcenter.com/thread/4323622/Equallogic+SAN+cluster+issue#fbid=UWXiG3N6Xx- (yes it's Dell EqualLogic but there is a lot of useful info there).
You may also want to list the relevant equipment here: the server model, the NICs or HBAs used for iSCSI, there firmware, what software was used to configure the SAN outside of Microsoft iSCSI initiator. I don't think I can help any further - my experience with this type of SAN is very limited.
