MSA 2040: draining a disk group from pool B

Hello,

My MSA 2040 is configured with DGB01 -RAID5(6 disks) and DGB02-RAID1(2 disks) :

We have added a new DGB03-RAID5 (6 disks) so we have now enough space on the pool

We want to remove DGB02 to recreate another 6-disks disk group.

Question: is there any risk on the existing data on this pool when removing DGB02? performance impact?

Thank you.

@it61066

You shouldn't face any issue. Also it's not a big VDG also.

Yes little impact on performance because existing data will be drain out to other VDG and at the same time new IO also happening to the same VDGs.

Hope this helps!
