MSA 2040 - Graceful Shutdown?

Hello, I am looking for information on how to complete a graceful shutdown on a MSA 2040. I do not see an off switch at the back of the MSA and I cannot find any "shutdown" options through the "HPE Storage Management Utility" web UI. I can only see an option for "Restart System". Can somebody please point me in the right direction? We have an upcoming building power shutdown and I will need to power down this MSA. I was told I can simply pull the power cables from the back of the MSA 2040 to perform a shutdown, but that does not seem right to me. Thank you for any information you can provide.

You may shut down the HPE MSA 2040 by following the steps below (SMU v3).
To perform a shutdown

1. Perform one of the following:
   • In the banner, click the system panel and select Restart System.
   • In the System topic, select Action > Restart System.
     The Controller Restart and Shut Down panel opens.

1. Select the Shut Down operation, which automatically selects the Storage Controller type.
2. Select the controller module to shut down: Controller A, Controller B, or both.
3. Click OK. A confirmation panel appears.
4. Click Yes to continue. Otherwise, click No. If you click Yes, a message describes the shutdown activity.

Hi Venkat. Thanks for the information. I will follow the GUI shutdown procedure listed in the HP document you provided. I do have a follow up question though. Once I shutdown both controller A and controller B, I read online that the "green" LED status symbol will turn "blue" on each of the controllers, which indicates that the controllers are shutdown. At that point is it safe to pull the power plugs on the MSA2040 so that the entire device is completely off?
