MSA 2040, which SFP's are supported
I am trying to find out which HP parts numbers of SFP's are supported by the MSA2040, I have searched on HP's site, and the only doucment which lists SFP's is the quick specs. The part number shown here is for packs of 4, but I'm looking for the individual part numbes eg AJ718A or AJ716A.
Please can you help??

Re: MSA 2040, which SFP's are supported
what if you only had one controller, and only wanted to fit two SFP's are these SFP's unique to the 2040?

Re: MSA 2040, which SFP's are supported
According to partsurfer.hp.com the spare part for C8R24A is 717874-001 (as an example).
Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFPs) Transceivers:
HP MSA 2040 8Gb Short Wave Fibre Channel SFP+ 4-pack Transceiver
HP MSA 2040 16Gb Short Wave Fibre Channel SFP+ 4-pack Transceiver
HP MSA 2040 10Gb Short Range iSCSI SFP+ 4-pack Transceiver
NOTE: Customers must upgrade their MSA 2040 controller firmware to GL101 or later for iSCSI functionality
HP MSA 2040 1Gb RJ-45 iSCSI SFP+ 4-Pack Transceiver
NOTE: Customers must upgrade their MSA 2040 controller firmware to GL101 or later for iSCSI functionality
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: MSA 2040, which SFP's are supported
No, this was an example.
( I edited the reply now)
There are several FC abd ISCSI SFPs - see quickspec.
Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: MSA 2040, which SFP's are supported
Don't know ... maybe you can buy them as a spare part.
But you need at least 2 of them for a single controller.
For all - the table is here
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/productbulletin.html#spectype=worldwide&type=html&docid=14603
Features tab.
I think they assume you always need 4 transceivers to built a supported configuration on a dual controller array.
No idea about single controller arrays - sorry.
Consider to ask HP!
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: MSA 2040, which SFP's are supported
HP PN 738369-001
HP MSA 2040 1Gb SW iSCSI SFP
ABCU-5730RZ-1H
SPS: 738368-001
Base part is an "Avago ABCU-5730RZ-1H" but it is not clear that the Avago part will work if purchased direct.
