MSA 2050 Connectivity
We have a MSA 2050 SAS Running Version: VL270P008
This was purchased at the end of the year in 2022, we have not been able to utilized this Storage Appliance.
I am trying to purchase new servers to connect to this server;
***********My IT team that purchased this is gone, and I am trying to complete this project until more IT Experts are hired***********
We are currently using esxi 6.7.0 with ProLiant DL380e Gen8 servers. They purchased and added the p421 controller cards and we have those directly connected with the MSA as per the Best Practices document. Needless to say. we found some information that said this p421 is compatible with the SAS controller we have (2050); and other posts on HPE community saying it is not compatible.
All I am looking for, is what controller card will talk to the MSA 2050 over 12 gb fiber (fibre) cables..............
With the new "SPOCK" support, I cannot find the compatibility matrix, and it has become very frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: MSA 2050 Connectivity
It looks like p408e-p may be the correct part; however, I cannot find ANY reference to this card anywhere in the MSA documentation.......

Re: MSA 2050 Connectivity
I think I found it. It looks like SAS Controllers/HBAs include:
E208e-p
E408e-p
P408e-m
