Hi, I'm trying to delete old snapshots from a degraded pool in my MSA 2050 to free up some of the space. When I try to delete any of them it gives me an error: Error: The specified volume name conflicts with an internal name used by the system. - One or more snapshots were not deleted.
These snapshots can only be seen if I run the command "show snapshots type all".
Solved! Go to Solution.

Re: MSA 2050 Won't Let Me Delete Old Snapshots
Hello@Moises_F_NPS,
Rename the snapshot and then try to delete old snapshots.
Please check the below link for how to reset and delete the snapshot (pages no:133 and 94)
HPE MSA 1050/2050 CLI Reference Guide: https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/a00017709en_us
Hope this helps!
Regards,
Venkat

Re: MSA 2050 Won't Let Me Delete Old Snapshots
Hi @venkat_y ,
Thank you for your reply. I'll have to delete it and recreate it, unfortunately. Trying to rename it gives me the same error.
Thanks again,
Moises
