Hi.
I have MSA 2052, which is connected to a MSA Enclosure.
In 2050, there are two SSD that we are not using them at this moment, the rest of the slots are empty, and I am going to fill them with new SAS later.
Therefore, I used my old HP SAS (900 and 1200) and filled the Enclosure with them.
I made pool B (pool A is reserved for later) and 2 disk groups
Every things seems to be ok but the status is FTOL
Is it risky?
What should i do to handle this error?
P.S
SAN firmware is update (VL270P008)
SSD and SAS firmwares are update
Unwritable System Cache is 0
firmware upgrade health is pass
INIT job passed witout any error
VRSC job passed witout any error
VRFY job passed witout any error
I didnтАЩt configure volumes and mapping yet because of this FTOL error

SolutionHi,
FTOL: Fault tolerant and online. The disk group is online and fault-tolerant
This indicates healthy state.
Pool, disk groups and hard drives are in healthy state as per the screenshot.
You could upload MSA store logs to the MSA health check utility at the below web link to verify MSA health status:

Re: MSA 2052 Disk group status is FTOL
As mentioned the status of FTOL means the disk group is in a health state. If you are interested you can find further information about the disk group states on page 83 of the following manual: https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/a00017707en_us
