Hi , can anyone help me with this error we've encounter in creating a Replication in ""HPE MSA 2060"".
We need some help to find the active remote port which we didn't create. Or help me understand what is the meaning of this issue.
Photo of the error below.
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Khenobiada

Re: MSA 2060 - REPLICATION ERROR
Hi @Khenobiada ,
1. Have you choosen the proper port from the avilable ports from Secondary MSA?
2. Have you verified that the Port address must be from Secondary MSA and in up state?
3. Is the 'Peer system Port Address' properly went through without any errors (previous step)?
4. Have you configured peer with same port address with some other MSA ?
Please access this video with HPE account login and refer the configuration.

Re: MSA 2060 - REPLICATION ERROR
Hello @Khenobiada ,
The error indicates that the IP address which you are trying to use is already associated with the existing one.
Four peer connections per storage system for MSA 2060/2062 Storage systems can be created. However, only one peer connection is allowed to a
particular remote system. Attempting to create a second peer connection to the same system will fail.
The Peer Connections panel (Settings > Peer Connections) provides you may view the information about the existing peer connection and remote port address. Verify that the Remote port address that you were trying to establish connection is not in use.
Thanks,
Sahana S

1. Have you choosen the proper port from the avilable ports from Secondary MSA? - Yes , we've choose the proper port from the Secondary MSA.
2. Have you verified that the Port address must be from Secondary MSA and in up state? - Yes it is in up state.
3. Is the 'Peer system Port Address' properly went through without any errors (previous step)? - Yes it went through without any errors.
4. Have you configured peer with same port address with some other MSA ? - No . But we have 4 MSA and the 2 MSA is dedicated for replication, right now we just configured 1 MSA for replication so far.
Please access this video with HPE account login and refer the configuration.

Re: MSA 2060 - REPLICATION ERROR
Hi @Sahana_S
Lets put it that way that the error we've encounter so far is already associated with the existing one. How or Where can we find and how to delete the existing if ever?
Thanks,
Best regards,

Re: MSA 2060 - REPLICATION ERROR
Hi again @Sahana_S
So if we have 1 remote system, only one particular peer connection is allowed ? Can it be deleted if ever there's an existing one? Where to check if there is already a peer connection created?
Please help us on this mater.
Thank you.
Best regards

SolutionHello @Khenobiada ,
Login to CLI, and run the command "show peer-connections", to view information about a peer connection between two systems.
The output displays information such as the assigned port address and the IDs of ports in the remote system.
If the remote port address that you are trying to establish peer connection is in the list, then delete that peer connection, using the command "delete peer-connection <peer connection name or ID>"
Hope this might help you!
Thank you,
Sahana S

Re: MSA 2060 - REPLICATION ERROR
Hello@Sahana_S
If ever we successfully deleted the existing peer connection. What about after that? Do we need to re-try to create again ?
Thanks,

Re: MSA 2060 - REPLICATION ERROR
Hello @Khenobiada ,
Yes, try creating a new peer connection with the remote port address and with a new name.
Thanks,
