Hi all,
The situation is: registered all the Storage 4-ports (2-ports per controller) iSCSI 10GbaseT with different IPs in the ESXi as shown below. The problem is I think the Storage only detects 2 connections (2A and 2B) as shown below.
The total connection of the 4-ports configuration will fall under the Storage? Or do I need to tweak something on the ESXi so that the storage will detect a 4-port connection?
If on the ESXi, what should I configure?
HPE MSA
ESXi

Re: MSA iSCSI configuration
Hi,
Have you checked whether the vmkping to the 4 IPs works from ESXi host server SSH session? Is this an issue with only one of the host servers? You could also try deleting all target IPs from ESXI and try adding controller A host port IP to check whether the iscsi connectivity works. Of course this will require a downtime.

Re: MSA iSCSI configuration
Hi,
Please let us know whether the issue has been resolved.
I would suggest getting an HPE support case logged to review debug logs , if issue persists.

SolutionHi team,
Yes, the issue has already been resolved.
Solution: have 2 VMKernel
The problem before is that we've combined the 2-ports of 1 adapter (created 1 VSwitch for both, and only 1 VMK) although ports are connected to different TOR Switches. So scenario before is that if 1 TOR switch goes down, the data store is lost.
VMKernel
Hope this could be someone's reference in the future searching for solutions just like me recently.
