MSA P2000 G3 storage & raid optimizations
Hi Community!!!
We have:
1) Storage side - MSA P2000 G3 FC/iSCSI + P2700 enclouser
HDD - MSA P2000 have 24 x 300GB SAS 10K
P2700 have 25 x 300GB SAS 10K
Total HDD - 49
2) Servers - HP Proliant 360 G7/RAM 96GB/with 2FC 8G adapters x 2 (two)
3) Vmware vSphere 4.1 Essential Plius
So, the funnest part is ... How to make the optimal vdisk config for the high performance and redundant (because of aditional enclouser).
Best practice wrote about redundancy - .... to stripe virtual disks across shelf enclosures to enable data integrity in the event of an enclosure failure, but nothing about performance in this case.
So, any advices, comments or questions are welcome.
