MSA1000 box 2 slow

I now have the second box on our MSA1000 setup and configured.

However, it appears to be much slower than the main unit when writing files to it.

Usually when I copy our backups to the main msa1000 (box a) it takes about 20 mins. Now that I moved the location to box B on the msa1000 it's taking about 2 hours.

Any ideas?

I think I might of said this wrong.
The entire MSA1000 box is not slow.

BoxA is fine. BoxB is the one that is slow for some reason.

One more piece of info on this.

On my BoxA I have just one Array (ArrayA) which includes all 14 drives, setup with two logical drives.

On my BoxB I have one Array (ArrayB) but only with 8 of the 14 drives included. And just one Logical drive using all the space allocated for ArrayB.

Could the fact that ArrayB has few drives cause it to write slower than ArrayA?

Both Arrays are setup with RAID5.

Should matter, I've recently seen drives negotiate at different speeds. Causing a slow down in performance.
Can you logon using the RJ45Z and do a "show drives" to see if all drives are runnig at the same speeds?

I've never done that before as I'm just really learning the MSA1000.

This rj45z cable, I take it, it has a different pin-out than a regular cat5 cable?

Can you offer some insite on that?

If the drives are at different speeds does that mean that they are bad?

The black supplied cable plugs in to the front of MSA and to serial COM1 (19200, 8, None, 1, None) this gets you to the CLI. Then do a show disks. Look at negitiated speeds
