MSA1000 Storage Spare Disk Part Number
disk in MSA1000 storage
Is there a command to look up for the serial number?
For example, 3PAR's 'showpd -i' command
I wonder if there is a command to query the serial number of the disk and other information.
Also, I would like to know the process for replacing the failed disk of MSA1000.
ACU is impossible,
Please access the serial and tell me the process to replace the failed disk in the CLI environment.
Additionally,
When approaching the serial
Is it impossible to access it with a cable other than the part number 259992-001 cable?
I beg you.
Thank you

Re: MSA1000 Storage Spare Disk Part Number
Hi,
The cable part number would be: 316131-001
show disks command will list details of failed disk.
However, it wont list serial number of the drives.
There are no options from CLI to capture disk serial number.
Hard drive is a hot pluggable part and could be replaced while the array is online.

Note: MSA 1000 went EOSL several years back. I have very limited expertise with this product.

@sung44428
Are you really trying to get a replacement drive for an MSA1000?
That product went End Of Life in 2008.
