Problems w/ MSA2000 G3 Detecting Hosts

I have one host plugged into one controller at the moment, the host is an alpha es40 running fiber to the MSA.  On the MSA I factory reset it got it on my network and added the hosts WWN.  I am not sure why but it will not discover the host so I can not see the volumes I created on the ES40... Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Are the host ports on the MSA set to direct connect? (or fabric if there is a switch)

Did you also create and present the correct type of Vdisk for an Alpha?
