Smart Array 1510i
I am considering purchasing the 1510i with the MSA30 trays and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with it and how it performs. Thanks.

Re: Smart Array 1510i
I don't have personal Exp with the 1510i, however, make sure you have significant bandwith on your IP network as this is an iSCSI device.
Unless you have very low IO req then I would look at a Fabric Switched (SAN) device.
iSCSI is great in therory but has significant issues in real life with IO, CPU usage, and network bandwidth.
Why not look at the MSA1500 SAN Starter kit.
It has 4/8 Switches included....

Baldric, I have a plan so cunning you could pin a tail on it and call it a weasle.

Re: Smart Array 1510i
I am planning to use it for a Vmware project and not necessarily as primary storage.
