Hi,
We have an MSA 2060 iSCSI. I am trying to set up email notifications but whatevery I try it doesn't send emails.
We are using Office365 and I have a dedicated email set up for this.
In the email settings I have the following:
SMTP Server: smtp.office365.com
Sender email: ouremail@domain.com
Protocol: TLS on SMTP port 587
Password: one I set
I apply those settings and tick the box to send a test email but nothing is coming through. I made sure the inbox is live and I sent a test email from it by manually logging in. I am unsure why the MSA isn't sending anything.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Re: Unable to set e-mail notification
Hello JakubSACS,
Please check whether the email notifications are enabled or disabled using CLI.
If it's disabled, please enable it and try.
Hope this helps!
Regards,
Venkat

Re: Unable to set e-mail notification
Hi, Open SMU, click on Maintenance > Support > Event History. Check whether you are getting an event test email failed or succeeded. Latest version MSA controller firmware IN210R004 has a fix for email notifications issue with Office 365. Please upgrade the controller firmware to the latest version if its not updated yet. https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docLocale=en_US&docId=dp00003424en_us

Re: Unable to set e-mail notification
Hi,
The notifications are now working, I haven't changed anything but overnight it seems to have fixed itself. Do you also know how to set up Office 365 alerts for the older style SMU v3? When I try to do it, it's telling me I have to use an IP address.
Thank you

SolutionHi, I believe you are referring to MSA 2050. MSA 2050 supports only IP address entry in SMTP server field. You could setup an SMTP relay as mentioned in Option 3 of below microsoft advisory to configure Office 365 with MSA. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/mail-flow-best-practices/how-to-set-up-a-multifunction-device-or-application-to-send-email-using-microsoft-365-or-office-365
