Re: what the right solutiion in my case
Since this MSA can have up to 4 FC ports per controller, you can connect your servers directly, like
server1 to A1 and B1, server2 to A2 and B2 ...
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: what the right solutiion in my case
We talk about fibre channel, not ethernet, right?
If you have more than 4 servers, you need a fibre channel switch, better 2 for redundancy, e.g. HPE B-series SAN switch.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: what the right solutiion in my case
Hello,
thanks for your replay, yes we talk about fiber channel
so the network will be
server 1 server 2 server3 server4 server 5
|vlan1 |vlan2 |vlan1 |vlan2 |vlan1 |vlan2 |vlan1 |vlan2 |vlan1 |vlan2
Switch
||vlan1 || Vlan2
||Vlan1 ||Vlan2
San
| = 16 gb interface on server or switch or san
|| = dual 16 gb interface
right ?
for two switch the vlan 2 wiil be on switch2 right ?

Re: what the right solutiion in my case
unless you use FCoE somewhere, you build with fibre channel a SAN, not a LAN or VLAN.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: what the right solutiion in my case
There is no VLAN in a fibre channel SAN.
This is not specific to HPE.
You will build 2 SAN fabrics, each consisting of a fibre channel SAN switch, where you connect one port of each server to each switch and each controller of the MSA to each switch.
Example:
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

No, there is no connection between the switches.
Hope this helps!

Re: what the right solutiion in my case
You can connect any SAN equipment to the switch.
You will use zoning on the switch and LUN presentation on the array to "isolate" the members of the SAN.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
