snmp oid to check if spanning-tree is running
Hello,
I would like get by snmp for any HP switch running Provision, Aruba OS or Comware, the protocol status of spanning-tree, that is if the stp is running on the switch or not.
I tried walking from iso.3.6.1.2.1.17.2.15.1.3 but this seems have informations about ports (forwarding, blocking... and son on ), but I have some switches that returns these info also when the spanning tree is disabled.
Is there any oid that contains only the running/disabled state?

Re: snmp oid to check if spanning-tree is running
Hi @Nazzareno Taborgna
please try using following oid's to know the admin status try OID '1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.7'
for operational status try '1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8'

Re: snmp oid to check if spanning-tree is running
Thank you Srujan,
the oids that you are suggesting are interface related, if an interface is administratively up or down and its operational state.
Instead, I am looking for an oids that tell me whether the stp protocol is running or not.
After several tries, I found that the oid: 1.3.6.1.2.1.17.2.7.0
I am not sure of it, so far, on the hp switches running stp reading this oid returns an integer value, instead where stp is not running this oid seems not available.
Could you verify that the oid 1.3.6.1.2.1.17.2.7.0 is related with the global state of the stp on the switch?
