changing motherboard on Netserver LH Pro
I want to keep the PSU cus it have 3.3 volt.
but im not shure exactly where they are.
maybe its easiest just to mesure them up.
but will it work or do the MB "comunicate" with the PSU thru the "power" PCB ?

Re: changing motherboard on Netserver LH Pro
Yes, the conversion can be done and I have converted 2 LH Pro cases to use ATX form factor PIII motherboards using the existing HP power supplies and PSU control Board and SCSI devices.
A number of changes need to be made:
1) The Support pegs for the m/b have to be removed and replacement ones fitted to match the location holes of the ATX m/b.
2) A cutout in the LH case is needed to suit the ATX external connectors.
3) The Wiring to te ATX power connector has to be made up and the wires lengthend. The ATX power connector block has to obtained to be able to do the re-wiring. All the required voltages are correct and suitable.
4) Modifications to the ON/OFF control panel have to made along with re-wiring for the Keyswitch, On/Off, Reset, speaker, and SCSI leds.
To do the conversion takes about a day for me now. The only problem I have is that when the computer is switched on, the power cycles on/off 2 times before remaining on. Can anyone offer a reason or solution?
