Re: Clearing the Error Log
You can do it in two ways,
1 If you have HP Instant Top tools great, if not you can download and install it from this link
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?locale=en_US〈=English&pnameOID=15383&prodSeriesId=50450&prodTypeId=15351&basePartNum=COL3288&locBasepartNum=ns-11142-1&os=Microsoft+Windows+Server+2003&tech=Utility++HP+Instant+Toptools
Select your Operating system and download the "Utility HP Instant Top Tools" and install it in your system. The you should be able to clear the event log from system event log section under the Status Tab
2. You can download the dos version hardware event log display utility from this link
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?locale=en_US〈=English&pnameOID=15383&prodSeriesId=50450&prodTypeId=15351&basePartNum=COL3415&locBasepartNum=ns-11635-1&os=Cross+OS&tech=Utility
You need a formated known good floppy disk
once you download it double click the download and follow the instruction to creat a bootable disk image. The boot the server from that floppy disk, from which you can be able to see a clear even log option.
Hope this will help

Re: Clearing the Error Log
If you have an older Navigator without the Tools icon, then in the menu will be an option for Netserver Utilities. Drill down into More Netserver Utilities and there should be an option for Event Log Report Utility. Inside this will be an option to clear the log.
