D8602B FC HBA not working in Aribrated Loop mode
I have installed a D8602B card into an LP2000 Server (win2k). Loaded driver 2.0.25.44 (no errors); and followed registry edit of InitAsNport=1.
There are no errors with the card or OS however the brocade switch only sees the card as switched fabric not arbitrated loop. Is there another setting to change to get Arbitrated loop?

Yes,
You should set InitasNport to 0 and reboot the server.
This should fix it,
Marco

Re: D8602B FC HBA not working in Aribrated Loop mode
Have tried setting both InitAsNport=1 and InitAsNport=0. with reboots between. Have upgraded BIOS to 4.06.18. Also ran "n_dgto.reg" and "nl_dgto.reg" to set key. But to no avail. Cannot find any other means of changing to Arbitrated Loop.
Any other suggestions??

Re: D8602B FC HBA not working in Aribrated Loop mode
Hello Trevor,
Marco is right, the value should be 0. However, perhaps there are some conflicting registry entries. Most importantly below HKLM\SYSTEM\CCS\Services\AFC9XXX\Parameters\Device. If this contains a driver string parameter, perhaps this conflicts.
Should this not apply to your situation, could you please provide us with three things:
1. A registry export from HKLM\SYSTEM\CCS\Services\AFC9XXX
2. The port to which the D8602B adapter connects.
3. The output of the switchshow command when using InitAsNPort DWORD 0.
Best regards,
Erwin Zoer
