DVD writer

Anyone using a DVD writer for HP netserver LH 6000r ? Or any suggestion on using one?

Lee,

Burners were never tested or supported in NetServers. I know on some of the older models, people had all sorts of wierd issues and problems. You can always try it, just know that they were never tested or supported, which is not such a good thing for a production server.

I have a Netserver Lh6000r and am running a DVD burner without any problems.

I pulled the IDE cable that was in the server and replaced it with a dual IDE cable, which runs a DVD burner as the master and a DVD reader as a slave.

I kept the cable that goes to the floppy drive.
