HP Netserver LS installation of Fedroa Core

Hi, i have a Netserver LS 5/100, with 6 4.2G SCSI drive. single process with 128mb memory. i am trying to install Fedore Core on it, i have already flashed the bio and ECU to the latest version, but because i don't have a navigator CD, i don't know if there is anything else i need to do before installing Fedora. Anyhow, i've made the bootable floppy and driver diskette, and have gotten as far as inserting the driver diskette when asked, but never gets past that, the server just hangs when gets to installing the DAC960 driver...
my questions are:
1. should i remove the Mylax DAC960 controller, and use the internal controller instead?
2. if so, how do i get to the other 6 SCSI drives if i am able to install Fedroa on the bootable harddrive (the 7th drive that contains Win98 at the moment)
if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks much.

If you use the integrated SCSI controller, the drives will a JBOD (just a bunch of disks). You'll have 6 hard drives detected as 6 different hard drives: no big deal, really.

Are all 6 drives detected by Win98?

Re: HP Netserver LS installation of Fedroa Core

alicia,
thanks for the reply. i am able to re-wire the 6 drives in the server using the internal scsi controllers, i took out the mylax controller card. after that, i am able to install Fedora Core on it. now a different problem appeared:
when booting up, it only boots to the grub loader and it just hangs. i get a bunch of ascii characters on the screen and a blinking cursor, that's it. any thoughts?
thanks.
