Kernel Panic : Attempted to kill init on Lp2000r with debian
Hi,
i'm trying to install a Debian 2.4 kernel on a Lp2000r (dual proc, 1Go ram, Netraid-2M with 5 disks). When i start the installer, the load of the kernel stops, with a Kernel Panic : Attempted to kill init process.
Anyone has already encountered (and solve) this problem ?
Thanks for advance.

Re: Kernel Panic : Attempted to kill init on Lp2000r with debian
I've encountered similar problems with an LH4r, but have not yet found a solution.
The same machine works fine with 2.2.x series kernels.
I have not yet upgraded the BIOS Firmwares on the machine. Doing so may cure all that is wrong with it (Some of the BIOSes are over 6 years old!). Perhaps this is your next step if you have not done so already.
Let me know if you have any luck!
