LC2000 and Wake on Lan

Hi,

Can "Wake On Lan(wol)" or "Remote Woke Up(RWU)" be done on a LC2000 with the Onboard ethernet ctrl?
I tried setting all the options for the NIC controller in the OS (Wake Up lan, PME, etc). Nothing is doing the trick. Doesn't seem to be any option in the machine bios for that. I'm using Windows Server 2003 (not sure if that this is relevant here).

Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: LC2000 and Wake on Lan

THe LC2000 manual clear, http://h200001.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/lpn10745/lpn10745.pdf , notes that there is a setting to enable and disable Wake On LAN in the BIOS configuration screens.

F2 - Configuration - Embedded LAN & SCSI Settings â
"Use this menu to set the embedded NIC to enable, disable, or enable as a boot device (Boot ROM Enabled). If the embedded NIC is enabled as a boot device, boot ROMs for enabled SCSI devices cannot be loaded. This menu also enables/disables the Wake-On-LAN feature

Re: LC2000 and Wake on Lan

Thank you for the answer.

However, the only option I get under the "Embedded LAN" (not "Embedded LAN & SCSI" as specified in the manuel) is "Integrated NIC (enable|disable)". No other option (for SCSI or Wake-On-Lan).
I have a LC2000r U2 using, what I think is, the latest BIOS firmware (version 4.06.30PV) and " Management Controller Firmware" vresion F.10.38.
Do you think that the U3 firmware (4.06.04RM) would expose the option I need? Is it safe to use it?

Thanks.
