LC3 Processor Compatibility
A few questions, i have and old LC3, i got from my work, a)do all lc3 models support p3s or only certain mobos, and b)in a few places i've seen people selling, p3600s for lc3s, but nowhere on hp's site can i find any info, all i see is info on up to p3 550 processors, is this possible and what would be the mobo switches for the 600s if so

Re: LC3 Processor Compatibility
Hi Matthew,
This server supports from 350 PII to 550 PIII. However there is a setting for a PII 600 you can try. which is as follos
PII PII PII PII PIII PIII PIII
300 350 400 450 500 550 600
1 OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF ON
2 OFF OFF ON ON ON ON OFF
3 ON ON OFF OFF ON ON OFF
4 OFF ON OFF ON OFF ON OFF
The very top row represent if it is for Pentium 2 or Pentium 3
The Numbers on the Left represent the switch # on the configuration switchs on the main board
As seen in the last column the configuration should 1 will be ON and from 2-4 should be OFF
I hope this will help
Regards
