LD Pro -- PCI version?
Need to put a SCSI card in an old LD Pro.
Card mfg. says PCI version must be 2.1, but I can't find that info in the manual or on the HP site. Is the LD Pro compliant with PCI 2.1?
In case it complicates matters, the card must have an external LVD connector, like an Adaptec 29160 (#1821900). Thanks,
Jim

Re: LD Pro -- PCI version?
The PCI spec is 2.1. This card will not work in this system.

Re: LD Pro -- PCI version?
Theo is correct, the PCI spec on the LD Pro is 2.1. I don't know if you can get a Ultra160/LVD card to work in this server.
The specs on the PCI I/O are:
I/O Slots Shared I/O
Slot 9: 32-bit PCI, 5v, Bus 0 PCI 6 & 9 are independent
Slot 8: 32-bit PCI, 5v, Bus 1 PCI 5 <-share-> PCI 7
Slot 7: 32-bit PCI, 5v, Bus 1 PCI 8 <-share-> Embedded SCSI A & B
Slot 6: 32-bit PCI, 5v, Bus 1 PCI 6 & 9 are independent
Slot 5: PCI / EISA Shared
Slots 1-4 are EISA
