LD Pro w/ IDE CD-Rom Support

The LD Pro server we have has an IDE contoller on it, but we can't get it to see the IDE CD-Rom what we've added to replace the old Quad Speed SCSI that came with it. Any idea's on how to get it to see the drive?

Thanks
James

Re: LD Pro w/ IDE CD-Rom Support

Morning James, here is a link for the LD pro manuals. In the service manual on pages 36-37 it shows the connections for scsi-ide

hope you get the info from there

Re: LD Pro w/ IDE CD-Rom Support

James,

Maybe the onboard IDE controller is disabled?
You can verify (and correct) this with the use of EISA Configuration utility.
If you don't have it (it's on Navigator CD-Rom) you can download it from: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/ccd/soar2sdd/ns1014/ns1014en/ldpecu.exe Select Step 3: View/Edit details and scroll down to IDE configuration.

Good luck,

Marco
