I have got a LH4r with up-to-date BIOS. However when I'm in the BIOS the boot priority list is wrong. It hasnt multiple CDROM, no floppy etc. Then after a copule of reboots and changes it changes the CDROM items to Networks cards (I have 4 network card in the system). But still no floppy. The floppy drive works fine on its own.... Help any one Please
Thanks
Ed

SolutionI would recommend the following steps:
1. Go into the F2 BIOS Setup
2. Select F9 for Factory Defaults
3. F10 to save & exit
If this does not resolve the problem, is the System BIOS date correct? If you change the date & reboot, does the date change?

Re: LH4r BIOS Boot Priority
Brill - Thanks for the quick reply and fantastic answer!!! Should have seen that one. I thought having to open the cache to clear the CMOS was a bit OTT.
Heres another quick one - just thought Id ask not important. In the BIOS and quick summary screen the text is not there. IE the screen is a grey background with white text at the top saying summary screen. but nothing else. In the bios unless you move down an option that is also colour different. I think its has to do with the Omniview system I have in. Just wondering if you heard of it ?
Thanks Again
Ed

Re: LH4r BIOS Boot Priority
Here's a little trick you can use to clear the CMOS without opening the server:
At boot-up, use
Also, instead of saying you have an updated BIOS, you should state what the actual version is and when you applied it.
Currently, 4.06.36 PS is the latest. It is recommended that you clear config after applying a BIOS update. If your problems started after flashing, this may be the cause.
Cheers.
