Greg,
Thanks for your suggestions. First of all where is the switch 3 you refer to....I have no documents.
When you say boot up the server with the drives out.....should I insert one at a time.....or insert one and reboot...???? Any and all help would be appreciated

Solution
Tom,
The set of system switches is right above where the CPU processor board is. Its a bank of 8 switches.
As for the hard drives I would first boot the server with no hard drives installed and see if you get any error messages.
I would also inventory your PCI/EISA cards in the server and post their part numbers and remove any NON-HP cards until you get the server operational.
Ciao,
Greg
