modem for LH problem
Hi all,
I'm having problem with my 5 netservers LH 3000 with regards to their IRA port. It seems that it cannot detect my US Robotics 56K modem. I've also tried to use Null Modem Cable but still its not working. I believe their is a workaround with my problem can anyone help me? thanks!

Re: modem for LH problem
I dimly recall a similar problem I had on my LH3s (same modem). Turned out the management port conflicts with the regular serial ports. In my case, the MP wouldn't allow Serial A to operate the modem reliably. It would work once then get real flaky. You might want to try some BIOS enable/disable scenarios on the MP/ComPorts. Good luck.

Re: modem for LH problem
hi,
efectively by default the com2 port is dedicated to integrated management port, so you need to enter in the bios with F2, then in >Integrated i/o Port Setting >serial ports >In Serial port B >Enable Port as Serial Port
then reboot and check that the softare see the right data for the com (irq and adress)
if this is ok, then com port 2 is corectly enable
